Islamic Nation Anthems with the word "Motherland" or "Mother"

The Muslim viewpoint is that Islam, being a monotheist religion, forbids the apotheosis of any deity, animate or inanimate, except God, the supreme creator. However, there are several Islamic countries in the world that have the word Motherland or Mother mentioned in their National Anthems. I googled for National Anthems and was able to find 10 countries that refer to their land as Motherland or Mother. 1.     March Forward, Dear Mother Ethiopia - Ethiopia 2.     Amar Sonar Bangla - Bangladesh 3.     Indonesia Raya - Indonesia 4.     Bilady, Bilady, Bilady - Egypt 5.     Arise, O Compatriots - Nigeria 6.     Oʻzbekiston Respublikasining Davlat Madhiyasi – Uzbekistan 7.     Pincez Tous vos Koras, Frappez les Balafons – Senegal 8.     Cherifian Anthem – Morocco 9.     Qazaqstan Respwblïkasınıñ Memlekettik Änuranı – Kazakhstan 10.   Garaşsyz, Bitarap Türkmenistanyň Döwlet Gimni – Turkenistan I don't see any fuss in singing "Vande

Why do people support Narendra Modi?

People can love him or hate him, can’t ignore him. We were under deep sleep for 60 years. After that we at least got some one who works for the country rather than himself. One of the most clean politicians in Indian history. Successful track record of running several ministries efficiently. Within 3 years, Country has seen major changes and many development schemes: Clean India, Make in India, Bharat Mala, Jan Dhan Yogana, beti padhao beti bachao. 1st time, A PM delivering speeches all over the world and approaching Indian Diaspora to join and contribute for the Nation’s improvement which is unprecedented. 1st time, we have got a PM who delivers speeches as a master orator - like a boss. After many years, A PM is working as a Prime Minister not a Party member. India’s strategic steps and measures are being hailed worldwide under the current government. FDI in India has increased multi-fold. After many years, appeasement politics is getting a check. People now directly ca

The importance of Cow in Hindu Vedic Culture

Image
History and Importance of Cow 1) India has  150 million cows,  each of them giving an average of less than 200 litres of milk per year. If they could be fed and looked after, they can give 11,000 litres, as Israeli cows do. 2) The cow was elevated to divinity in the Rig Veda. In Book VI, Hymn XXVIII attributed to Rishi Bhardwaja extols the virtue of the cow. In Atharva Veda (Book X, Hymn X), the cow is formally designated as Vishnu, and `all that the Sun surveys'. 3) The cow, according to the Vedas, provides four products for human use:  (i)  Godugdha (cow milk) : As per Ayurveda, cow milk has fat, carbohydrates, minerals and Vitamin B, and even a capacity for body resistance to radiation and for regenerating brain cells.  (ii)  Goghruta (ghee) : The best ghee, it is, as per Ayurveda useful in many disorders. In yajna, it improves the air's oxygen level.  (iii)  Gomutra (urine) : Eight types of urine are used for medicinal purpose nowadays, among which cow urine is he

Ass Licker Gandhi Family Bhakt v/s Adarsh Modi Bhakt

Let me first start by saying that "Yes, I am an Adarsh Modi bhakt", you may even call me a "blind bhakt" (Blind faith) and I have millions of reasons to support my political and social view of Narendra Modi and BJP in general. I guess paid media and the presstitutes of our country came up with this adjective for Modi fans and followers like "Adarsh Bhakt" and "Adarsh Liberal". Well, wherever that came from really doesn't matter and I thought of coming up with an adjective too for congress bhakts - "Ass Licker Gandhi family bhakts". Now there's a huge difference in following someone & his work with an ass licker. Internal Party Members and Workers' One thing that I like about BJP is, that their party workers and leaders aren't boot lickers. They have internal democracy and every president of BJP has always been elected through a proper voting. I've even seen internal rifts and leaders voicing out their dif

Beef Ban – My thoughts

Image
Beef Ban – My thoughts I knew Indian Government would Ban Beef and was waiting for it being implemented and when I switched on my TV today, I was happy to see the Ban in Maharashtra. I welcome #BeefBan for only one reason and that is “Cow is sacred to me and my fellow Hindus in India”. So now I am asking these questions to myself because I will be questioned the moment I publish these post. 1.        Am I being religious and happy my God wouldn’t be slaughtered anymore? 2.        Am I being communal and happy that my fellow Christian and Muslim friends would not be able to eat Beef anymore? 3.        Do I really care about other lives? Do I care about all the animals on this planet? Let me start by saying – I am not religious and I am definitely not communal. I don’t visit temples, I have never read “Geeta” (Hindu Holy Book), and I don’t know a single “Aarti” or a “Shlokha” or a “Chalisa” but the only thing that I've believed is “Cow” and I've always s

India – A Crazy Country

India – Fun living in it !! India is a crazy country and being an Indian is the craziest feeling. Surviving in the largest democracy of the world with thousands of different religious groups that have evolved in India since 1500 BCE is like running a lifelong marathon with so many views. In India you always have to consider the other religions sentiments before saying or doing anything because of the consequences. I am not talking of legal consequences, which is fine, but it is the civic consequences. Everybody in India acts as a moral police and if you think this is normal then sit back and read because even the Indian administration and few non-political parties do moral policing in the name of god, religion and our ancient history. I am writing this because recently Mumbai Police filed a complaint against “AIB–Roast” for using abusive language on National TV. I watched the entire show and I liked the fact that it was abusive and funny in-spite of extreme over-acting by Ran

Doing’s – Reciprocates or is it Fate

When I look back and see the things I have done to people and things that I had gone through, I've always seen the boomerang effect. I always used to think that nothing good or bad would happen to me in future if I am the cause of someone’s love or hatred, but my thoughts have changed over the last 5 years. It all started with my second girlfriend (Name - B) in the year 2006. I am not the kind of person who’d betray someone’s trust and believe me I have only betrayed a person only once in my life. I saw her for the first time at a training session of my first job in August of 2006. I had a girlfriend (Name – A) back then, my first love (well not love, it was attraction) and that was the day when I stopped calling or texting A. I was so selfish that I didn’t even bother to answer A’s calls and reply to her texts. At that time I didn’t think of anyone and went so crazy for B that I somehow started talking to her friends to know her and to start talking to her. To my amuseme
